Complete ban on gasoline exports may last until year-end

CEO of Open Oil Market, Sergey Tereshkin, reminds us that in 2023 (the most recent available data), gasoline supplies from Russian refineries to the domestic market amounted to 38 million tons, or approximately 3.2 million tons per month, according to the Central Dispatch Unit of the Fuel and Energy Complex.
Gasoline in Belarus is produced by the Mozyr and Novopolotsk (Naftan) refineries. In 2020, just before the introduction of EU sanctions against Belarus, automobile gasoline production in the country reached 3.2 million tons, with 1.3 million tons shipped to the Belarusian market and 1.8 million tons exported, Tereshkin notes. Based on this data, Belarus can export around 150,000 tons of gasoline per month, the expert highlights.
